How Pakavitor Started – The Real Story
There are a lot of betting platforms operating in Pakistan. Most of them were built somewhere else, for someone else, and then localised as an afterthought — a PKR option added to the deposit screen, a few cricket markets bolted on during the World Cup. Pakavitor came out of a conversation among friends — people who had been following cricket obsessively for decades, who understood PSL team dynamics, Test match conditions at the National Stadium and what the toss means at Rawalpindi in February — and who were frustrated that none of the existing platforms seemed to understand any of it either. The betting experience felt disconnected from the actual sport-watching experience that Pakistanis have.
So we spent over a year building an alternative from scratch.
